VPL is an American fashion label founded in Fall 2003 by British born designer, Victoria Bartlett based on the idea of underwear as outerwear. This award-winning line filled a niche between lingerie and sportswear with utilitarian, stylish garments that were meant to be mixed, matched, and layered. Merging comfort, functionality, and fashion, VPL positioned itself well as an everyday uniform for a sophisticated, multi-faced clientele. The line grew in the high-end contemporary collection, and in 2013 it extended into fashion active with the addition of swim, shoes and accessories. VPL is certified as B-Corporation in 2016 and benefits women's education through women's clothing sustainably produced in the US.

Design and production process
VPL advocates sustainable production, slow designs and anti-knock offs by patenting signature designs. VPL developed unique designs and production process that utilize excess fabric from production to minimize fabric waste ("up cycle" program). VPL is sold in 25 countries, and stores include Barneys, Shopbop, Saks, Net a Porter, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, and Harvey Nichols. It also sells directly to customers, and its savings from fabric utilization and vertical distribution are donated to women's education fund.
Women's Education Fund
For every "upcycle" product VPL sells, the company donates $20 to women's education fund.
